| David Hewlett's updates are FTW, the pictures he posts, though... *ovaries do Snoopy Dance*One month off and I return a ring wearing married man! Best decision I've ever made, probably the worst for Jane ;-) The wedding was incredible and after months of planning (and spending) it went off without a hitch. Jane, as always, not only pulled off all logistics from another country, she managed to look fantastic doing it. She looked incredible! I forgot to do my hair (a fashion disaster) and Baz pulled his diaper off just before Jane headed down the aisle so her first attempt had to be quickly aborted until the half naked Hewlett (Sebastian that is) was ready for prime time. [...]I can think of no better way to celebrate the rest of my life with, my wife, the extraordinary Jane :-)Could you love that man more? Seriously? That family is so made of love. Also, Fannididdy... bwahahahahahaa. And the image of Joe and David causing havoc with remote control cars tickles me mightily. | |

| Reposting here (until my site is up, it's easier to keep track of my stories in my journal;)Title: The Greater Share of Honor Author: pollittPairing: McKay/Sheppard Rating: PG Warnings: Missing scene/tag for "This Mortal Coil," includes references to "Outcast" Summary: "For he to-day that shed his blood with me/ Shall be my brother" -- Henry V, Act IV, Scene IIIAuthor Notes: Written for the 2008 mcshep_match challenge, my prompt was "Band of Brothers" for the Home Team. The prompt, my title, and the summary are taken from the St. Crispin Day speech from Shakespeare's Henry V. Thank you to maverick4oz for all that she did--from helping to brainstorm the first spark of an idea to helping to put the finishing touches on the story and then betaing. And a huge thank you to Team Home for being an awesome and supportive group of amazing writers. | Skipped out of work with a friend of mine (at 4. We ate through our lunch, so really, it was a legit early leaving) and going to Navy Pier to watch celebs (Christopher Nolan, whom i didn't see, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman, whom I did. Apparently Christian Bale was already inside, having decided not to walk the red carpet. I don't know for certain if that was true.) walk the red carpet for the Chicago premiere of The Dark Knight. The best part, other than seeing Gary Oldman in the flesh, was that he went past the barriers of the red carpet, across the street to where the crowds were, and signed a couple of autographs (there was a guy who kept screaming Gary's name) So... ( a couple more pics behind the cut. I should have better pics tomorrow when my friend and I trade our photos ) | |

| I may have to liveblog... I'm a little scared ;)
After the LJ blackout
Well, whew, he survived it (and looked hot all scruffy and laid back and HOT.)
There was talk about... passionate fans (but Joe knows that it's what pays his bills) and Chelsea said he was too pretty to be in sci-fi.
Britney was his neighbor (he feared the boys might end up having playdates with her kids and I can't see Joe and Ms. "Crazy" Spears hanging out while their kids played)
Joe looked AMAZING. And \o/ an interview I finally caught! And he did great! - Tunes:Falling Down - The Redwalls

| Last night, maverick4oz and I were planning on doing some writing to get back into the groove (I was not feeling very groovy with my writing lately) and her answer was for each of us to write a sga_flashfic Five Things story. And we did. Mav's story, Five Times Rodney Almost Died Since Coming to Atlantis, chooses an episode each season where Rodney's faced, and cheated, death (the "Miller's Crossing" story made me wibble.) And mine can be found here with a bonus scene (of silliness) here. | |
